Butchery Courses
Join us for one of our participative MEAT courses at MEAT Downstairs

Presented to small classes by one of our experienced butchery team the price of each convivial event includes delicious finger food and a glass of our fine wine (or two after the tricky bits are done).

It is advisable to wear closed shoes, other than that we will provide all necessary equipment including aprons. We also offer the courses to groups by arrangement.

MEAT the Sausage
Every first Tuesday of the month, 7pm
(In June it will be the second Tuesday due to the Jubilee bank holiday)

The history of the sausage and discussion on its many varieties
How you're going to make sausages tonight
Preparation of your pork sausage mix
Stuffing and linking your sausages

MEAT the Lamb
Every third Tuesday of the month, 7pm

Where?

How much?
£95 including a cut of your choice, or £175 to include a whole lamb

How long?
Approx. 3hrs

Syllabus?
Introduction to the lamb including farming and husbandry
What you're going to do tonight
Cutting a lamb into its primal parts
Preparation of your cut
For the whole lamb option our butchers will finalise the prep for you the next day
